India has a large population of young people which should be considered an asset for the country. Youth have tremendous potentiality, dynamism, energy and willingness to explore new ways and accept challenges of change. The nation must harness the full flow of youth energy as well as inculcate spirit of patriotism and raise level of voluntarism in the society. The youth have a special role to play as catalysts of change and their boundless energy could introduce a new dynamism and direction into various developmental programmes. Thus, the AICURD undertook various programmes ensuring the participation of youth in different parts of the country which include National Service Volunteer Scheme at Adilabad (A.P), Jalpaiguri (W.B.), Youth Leadership Training camps at Guwahati (Assam), Mandi (H.P.) and Agartala (Tripura) Exhibition of Posters on Youth at Kolkata (W.B.), Social Animators Training at Kalyani, Cooch Behar and Diamond Harbour (W.B.)
