The Vocational Training Programmes provide opportunities to the needy, deserving and socially maladjusted men and women to get trained in selected vocations witch enable them to find suitable employment in the open market or to engage themselves in self employment for supplementing their family income. With this end in view, AICURD has been running training centres on Shorthand and Typing at Jalpaiguri (W.B.), Santa (M.P.) and Kathua, Pulwama, Budgam, Srinagar and Kupwara (J&K), Carpentary, Electric Wiring Plumbing, Blacksmithy, Wool Knitting, Sewing and Tailoring and Cycle and Auto repairing in the Districts of Jalpaiguri, Burdwan (W.B.) and Santa (M.P.), Sewing-cum-tailoring centres at Delhi, Craft development and Jute diversified products at Jalpaiguri (W.B.), Craft Centres for women in the Districts of Kathua (J&K) and Computer Training Centres in the districts of Pulwama, Budgam and Kupwara.
