Jalpaiguri District Unit of AICURD has taken the responsibility of promoting Swarn Jayanti Swa-Rozgar Yojana (SJSRY) in the district particularly in Jalpaiguri Sadar Block. AICURD has identified six volunteer who are actively engaged in the task of promoting the scheme, formatting SHGs, helping theme in attaining viability and monitoring progress in their work. AICURD has succeeded in forming II8 SHGs in four Gram Panchayas viz Kharija Berubari G.P (54 SHGs), Nagar Berubari G.P (24 SHGs), Mandalghat G.P (32 SHGs) and Boalmari Nandanpur G.P (32 SHGs) of Jalpaiguri Sadar Block. Bank account of all the II8 SHGs have been opened out of 77 SHGs have qualified for grading.
